DDC conducts extensive tour to different areas at Handwara and Kupwara

Inspects apace of on-going developmental activities.

The District Development Commissioner Kupwara Kalid Jahangir along with Assistant Commissioner Development Kupwara today conducted an extensive tour to Jagerpora, Wadipora, Natnusa and Drugmulla to inspect the on-going developmental activities carried by different executing agencies, the DDC passed instruction to the concerned executing agencies for timely completion of all on-going developmental activities. While inspecting the playgrounds at Jagerpora, Natnussa the ACD was directed to gear up their field and technical staff to expedite the works within current month. At Wadipora the visiting team inquired about the work done at Government High School Wadipora (A) and its additional accommodation the concerned authorities were directed to complete the on-going developmental activities, so that the school functioning may not suffer during ensuing academic session. While interacting with the girl students present in the school for winter classes, expressed satisfaction over the performance of the students and interaction session was also conducted by DDC with staff and students, enquired about the facilities within the school during the winter months. It was given out that 250 girl students are participating in the winter coaching.
At Natnusa, the DDC inspected working on playground being carried out by the RDD for development and it was informed that the material for carrying out remaining work has been dumped by the executing agency. The ACD was directed to expedite the work within the stipulated time frame to resume sports activities.
While inspecting the NTPHC Drugmulla the DDC directed Medical Officer to conduct awareness camps at village level in the area to aware the general people about the academics, causes, precautionary measures and preventions. The DDC enquired about the facilities available in the hospital for needy persons who often visit hospital for basic treatment. It was given out that 270 children up to one year, 660 children upto three years and 480 children up to five year are registered with NTPHC Drugmulla, besides 09 institutional deliveries have been recorded during December 2017
